A shared love for vintage.

Set up by two sisters, Hannah & Georgie, in the summer of 2013, Bird In Borrowed Feathers was born from a shared love of vintage, car boot sales and rummaging through old junk.

As children we were constantly dragged around various car boot sales and charity shops, this experience sparked our passion for second hand finds. We love searching and rummaging around to find the best vintage fabric, old books or pieces of furniture.

We started our Etsy shop as a way of allowing ourselves to buy all the beautiful fabric we had been finding, without feeling guilty!

As well as our Etsy shop, we also own a tiny bricks and mortar shop, in the centre of Nottingham. Here we sell a selection of vintage bits and pieces as well as a growing range of handmade goods from various UK and Nottingham based designers.

Welcome to Bird In Borrowed Feathers! Born from a shared love of vintage, car boot sales and rummaging through junk shops, Bird In Borrowed Feathers was started in the summer of 2013 by Hannah and Georgia, two sisters from Wiltshire who now live and work in Nottingham. We spend our weekends sourcing and hand picking beautiful vintage fabric for our shop.
